Venue: University of Zurich
The Spring School on Language Contact with Lenore Grenoble (University of Chicago) took place from April 16th to 18th at the Slavic Institute of the University of Zurich. The Spring School was organized by Cristiana Lucchetti and financed through a Short Grant of the UZH Graduate Campus.
The Spring School included a variety of events all centered around the topic of language contact within and beyond Slavic languages. Next to one intensive workshop on language contact, one lecture within the course Orte der Mehrsprachigkeit and one joint colloquium between the Slavic Institute and SPUR on Lenore Grenoble’s latest research, all participants had the opportunity to discuss their research projects during informal consultations with Lenore Grenoble, one of the leading experts on language contact, change and endangerment.
Students and junior researchers in all fields of linguistics from UZH and beyond were welcome to join this event series and profit from this unique chance of scientific exchange.
